Witching Hour is not simply a colour; it is a threshold. A decadent, striking blue-purple pigment that feels deep, inky, and almost spellbound from the very first glance. Its tone drifts between midnight indigo and shadowed violet, carrying a richness that feels both powerful and quietly enigmatic. In the light, hidden dimensions begin to surface, traces of sapphire dusk, blackened violets, and cool twilight blue, creating a sense of movement that feels fluid, immersive, and endlessly intriguing.

This is a pigment for those who are drawn to intensity over softness, to atmosphere over simplicity, to creations that hold presence and depth. Finely milled and luxuriously smooth, Witching Hour delivers bold, even coverage with a velvety, polished finish that feels deliberate and refined. Its highly concentrated nature means a little goes a long way, offering a saturated, dramatic result that transforms each piece into something truly captivating.

Whether swirled through resin, brushed into moulds, or layered into mixed media and surface work, Witching Hour brings a sense of mystery and quiet drama to your creations. It elevates designs into something immersive and expressive, perfect for moody palettes, celestial themes, statement pieces, and moments where your work calls for depth, intrigue, and a touch of the unseen.

Features:

  • 3g of luxury mica pigment in a micro pot
  • Ultra-fine texture for smooth application and an elegant finish
  • Highly concentrated for bold colour with minimal use
  • Ideal for resin projects, mixed media, painting, embellishment, and detail work

Witching Hour is a pigment for artists who aren’t afraid of the dark, a refined, luxurious purple that adds depth, drama, and intention, and reminds you that not all beauty needs to shine to be powerful.

Mica powder itself is a naturally occurring mineral and is widely recognised as non-toxic. While our Chameleon pigment powders are safe to handle and suitable for creative and craft applications, they are not certified as cosmetic grade. This means they have not been tested or approved to meet the specific regulatory standards required for use in cosmetic products intended for application on the skin, lips, or eyes.

At Create and Bloom, we are committed to sourcing and supplying mica powders as ethically and responsibly as possible. We work closely with trusted suppliers who share our values around transparency, fair working practices, and responsible production. While the mica industry is complex, we actively choose partners who strive to reduce environmental impact and support safer, more ethical supply chains. It’s an ongoing journey, and we continue to learn, question, and improve wherever we can, because beautiful colour should never come at the cost of people or the planet.
