Bloom Cast Drops are highly pigmented, water-based dyes designed to give your Eco Pour creations beautifully smooth, blendable, and reliable colour. These drops disperse effortlessly into the mix, offering exceptional tint strength and artistic flexibility. From soft, delicate pastels to deep, striking tones, each drop helps you build the exact shade you’re aiming for while maintaining a clean, consistent finish across homewares, décor, accessories, and mixed media pieces.
As with all water-based pigment systems, colour results can vary slightly depending on the casting medium you use. Eco Pour and Jesmonite naturally produce subtly different shade outcomes, which is completely normal. For best results, we recommend using Bloom Cast Drops specifically with Eco Pour.
Bloom Cast Drops offer buildable colour, practice with 2–3 drops (for small mixes) typically create a classic medium shade, while deeper tones can be achieved by increasing the pigment ratio. For correct curing and true intense colour, do not exceed 5% pigment to base.
To achieve the smoothest possible results, always follow stratification guidance - read more about this here. Mix the pigment thoroughly into your Eco Pour, allow the blend to sit briefly so any natural settling can occur, and then remix gently before pouring. This helps prevent mottling and keeps your finished pieces clean and even in appearance.
Water-based pigments may lightly stain silicone moulds. This is perfectly normal and does not affect future casts. Staining can be removed easily with a wet wipe or warm soapy water.
Finished pieces may be sealed if you prefer added protection or a particular finish.
Features:
- Water-based pigment drops crafted for Eco Pour and compatible with Jesmonite-style casting systems
- Strong tinting power offering beautifully buildable colour from light to dark
- Recommended 2–3 drops for standard colour depth; do not exceed 5% for intense colour
- Stratification-friendly formula that helps minimise mottling when mixed correctly
- Natural shade variations may occur depending on your casting medium (Eco Pour or Jesmonite)
- Water-based pigments may lightly stain silicone moulds; easily cleaned with wipes or warm soapy water
- Ideal for resin-style homewares, creative projects, artistic décor, and mixed media casting
- Suitable for sealing to enhance durability and finish
NB Water-based pigments behave differently in enclosed silicone moulds, meaning the colour you see inside can momentarily differ from the areas exposed to air. As your Eco Pour piece moves through its natural 24–48 hour cure, the shade settles beautifully into its true finished tone.
Bloom Cast Drops are the perfect choice for makers seeking rich, expressive colour that elevates every Eco Pour creation with professional clarity and creative freedom.

Important Information
Bloom Eco pour pigments are specially formulated to seamlessly integrate with all casting powder products; such as Eco pour and Jesmonite; offering an easy and effective way to infuse intense colour and character into your eco homewares and jewellery projects.
The pigments are crafted to deliver not only stunning visuals but also exceptional durability, ensuring that your coloured eco pour makes stand the test of time, whilst also maintaining their brilliance.
With easy-to-use glass jars, eco pigments allow for precise colour control, giving you the freedom to experiment and create bespoke finishes. From subtle accents to bold statements, the possibilities are as endless as your imagination.
Add 2-5% pigment to your final mix for a beautiful striking colour. Remember adding more pigment will jeopardise the ratio of your mix and may cause a little colour to rub off on your fingers when 'rubbed. To avoid this seal your creations after a few hours of de-moulding.
Always allow your piece to cure thoroughly before adding additional products to the surface.
As with all Oxide pigments, moulds and pots may stain. Bloom Eco pigments are water-based, therefore moulds can be wiped or washed gently ready to use again.
Bloom Eco pigments are heat stable and have excellent UV stability; they will not fade or alter under UV light - even if they have not been sealed with a protectant.
These colours will alter in intensity depending on the Eco pour product and pigment ratio used. They can be lightened or darkened by adding more or less.
