Product Information – Epoxy Resin for Creative Projects
This high-performance epoxy resin features an easy 1:1 mixing ratio, measured accurately by both volume and weight, making it suitable for beginners and experienced resin artists alike. When mixing by weight, you may notice a small amount of hardener remaining in the bottle, this is normal, as weight density differs from volume density.
Formulated for excellent shore hardness, this resin offers strong resistance to scratches and everyday wear, making it ideal for functional and decorative pieces. Its exceptional clarity delivers a pristine, mirror-like finish that enhances colour depth and detail in every pour.
The enhanced low-bubble formulation helps reduce trapped air during pouring, supporting smoother results and cleaner finishes. For best results, gently preheating Part A (the resin) in a bowl of freshly boiled kettle water can further minimise bubbles before mixing.
This epoxy resin is ASTM certified, non-hazardous, non-toxic, and VOC free, making it suitable for use in creative hobby settings, studios, and workshops. For full technical specifications and certification details, additional information is available via the Apex UK website.
Designed for versatility, this resin is suitable for a wide range of applications including coasters, trays, geodes, table tops, jewellery, doming, and decorative resin art. It offers advanced UV resistance, helping to prevent yellowing and protect your artwork over time.
The formulation works beautifully with glitters, resin pigments, epoxy pigment pastes, dyes, and inks, allowing artists to experiment freely with colour, texture, and effects across resin art, pouring techniques, and mixed media projects.
This resin is appropriate for use as a food-safe coating once fully cured, though it is not recommended for cutting or food preparation surfaces.
