Apex Resin® One Coat

Product Description

One Coat is a 1:1 clear, durable epoxy resin with high heat resistance for resin art

Apex Resin® One Coat is a high viscosity resin ensuring superior coverage and no shrinkage, even over the edges of artwork to seal and protect your work with one coat and to ensure your designs stay put once poured. Featuring a high heat resistance up to 100ºc, a super fast cure time and the most durable resin on the market for a rock solid, glass like, non scratch surface so you can seal your work with the love it deserves. Perfect for doming, geode lines and ocean cells, layers (cures in 2 hours), jewellery and clear coating.

Instructions

  • Refer to these instructions and mix carefully to ensure accurate results.
  • Mix for at least 3 minutes, scraping the sides and the bottom of the container
  • By Volume A : B = 100 : 100 (100 parts Resin : 100 parts Hardener) (For example 100ml Resin : 100ml Hardener)
  • By Weight A : B = 100 : 100 (100 parts Resin : 100 parts Hardener) (For example 100g Resin : 100g Hardener)
  • Epoxy heats up faster in larger quantities, so only mix the amount needed for use within the working time and separate into smaller containers to ensure your full working time.
  • Work time - 20 - 30 minutes at 25°C
  • Cure time - Touch dry in 2 hours at 25°C (24 Hours to full cure and 3 days for full hardness)
  • Viscosity - Mixed 8750 Centipoise
  • Heat Resistance - up to 100°C
  • Hardness 25°C after 3 days - Shore D 85
  • Maximum pour thickness - 3cm
  • Coverage - 1 Litre covers approximately 1.5m2
  • Shelf life - 12 months in sealed containers

As with all resins, it is important that you read the safety precautions associated with our product carefully before use and contact me if you have any questions.

  • Always wear nitrile gloves
  • Wear a respirator when sanding partially cured resin
  • Work in a well ventilated room
  • Although a respirator is essential when sanding partially cured resin, I also recommend the use of one whenever working with resin for complete protection, especially when additives such as inks, paints, pigments have been added to resin
  • Wear safety goggles
  • Avoid skin contact, if contact occurs-wash with soap and water
  • Allow the resin to fully cure before handling
  • Avoid contact with clothes and furniture. If resin is poured on unwanted areas wipe immediately with a clean, dry cloth using acetone or similar solvent
  • Do not eat, drink or smoke while working
  • In case of eye contamination wash with plenty of water for more than 15 minutes and seek medical advice immediately
  • If swallowed, seek medical advice immediately if you feel unwell
  • If alcohol inks have been used, do not use a flame as alcohol is flammable
  • Keep out of reach of children
  • Safe for incidental food contact only and not as a food preparation or cutting surface. Food should not exceed 50°C

Apex Resin® High Gloss

Product Description

Apex Resin® High Gloss is a great all rounder resin, perfect for beginners. Featuring extreme clarity for a pristine, clear finish for resin art and minimal bubbles. It is a 1:1 resin with a high heat resistance and perfect for beginners and the more experienced.
