Step into the world of functional art and create a striking resin statement piece in this immersive, design-led workshop. Lou invites you to transform a pre-made table or plant stand into a high-gloss, geode-inspired showpiece using professional resin pouring techniques.

This workshop is inspired by the beauty of natural crystal formations, think depth, movement, metallic accents, and layered colour, all translated into a piece that is not only beautiful, but designed to be used and lived with.

Both options are designed to allow you to pour both layers, creating a cohesive, flowing design that works beautifully from every angle. The table has a larger diameter than the plant stand. 

Workshop Experience

This is a guided, discussion-led workshop designed to help you feel confident before a single drop of resin is poured.

Before we begin:

• We’ll explore geode design principles
• Discuss colour palettes, flow, and layering
• Plan your design in advance (you’re welcome to sketch ideas beforehand)
• Explore how to adapt designs for furniture-scale pours with Apex Art resins

You’ll have full access to Create and Bloom products, including pigments, pastes, metallics, and decorative elements, allowing you to personalise your piece and achieve a truly luxurious finish. You might like to bring some very fine embellishments to add into your pour - such as crystal chippings.

• Colour placement, metallic accents, and creating depth
• How to control resin flow on metal furniture
• Professional preparation and finishing techniques for a smooth, high-gloss surface

Lou will share real-world knowledge from the resin table world, including how to handle bubbles, edges, curing issues, and surface imperfections.

The techniques and principles learned in this workshop can be easily carried forward into future projects, including larger resin and wood tables, as well as smaller pieces such as charcuterie boards.

Terms and Conditions for all Classes and Workshops

1. General Policy

By enrolling in any class or workshop offered by Create and Bloom, you agree to the following terms and conditions regarding cancellations, no-shows, and refunds.

2. No Refund Policy

All payments for classes and workshops are non-refundable. This includes situations where you cancel your enrollment or do not attend the class (no-show).

3. Credit Notes

At the sole discretion of Create and Bloom Crafts Ltd, a credit note may be issued for cancellations made at least 14 days prior to the scheduled class or workshop. Requests for credit notes must be submitted in writing and will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. For example, frequent requests for refunds or no-shows, may not be granted.

4. Notification of Cancellation

If you need to cancel your attendance, please inform us as soon as possible. Cancellations made less than 14 days before the class will not qualify for a credit note or any refund.

5. Changes to Classes

Create and Bloom reserves the right to cancel or reschedule classes and workshops due to insufficient enrollment or unforeseen circumstances. In the event of a cancellation by us, participants will be notified and offered a full refund or the option to transfer to another class.

6. Acknowledgment

By enrolling in a class or workshop, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these terms and conditions.
